The Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University (ZPPSU) Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) recognized trainers of RTC-KorPhil, Davao during their visit at the Training Center yesterday, July 13, 2022.
A short program was held at RTC-KorPhil, Davao Mezzanine to recognize the Training Center’s efforts of providing skills training and accommodations to the fifteen (15) ZPPSU faculty and personnel. This was participated by the Center Administrator, Engr. Constantino B. Panes, Jr., Ed. D as well as the Head Trainers and select experts of RTC-KorPhil, Davao for the various qualifications involved in the ZPPSU training immersion.
As for the ZPPSU, the Vice President for Research and Extension, VP Bonnie Andabon, Ph.D graced the event. Together with him were Dir. Revelino Sanchez, Director for the Department of Technical Education and Mr. Rolando Malalay, Dean of the College of Teacher and Education.
Engr. Panes thanked ZPPSU for choosing RTC-KorPhil, Davao as their partner Training Institution to provide these skills training, specifically on Machining which was facilitated by Engr. Robert K. Arnaez, Motorcycle/Small Engine Servicing which was facilitated by Mr. Romulo M. Nisnisan, Construction Painting which was facilitated by Mr. Alexander O. Dagohoy, Tile Setting which was trained by Mr. Edison C. Tasic, Plumbing which was facilitated by Arch. Janice S. Nadera, Mechatronics which was trained by Mr. Rhian Dhae B. Sarsaba, and Transport RAC which was trained by Mr. Eugene R. Valdez.
On the other hand, ZPPSU responded through VP Andabon wherein he expressed gratitude to the trainers of RTC in transmitting the competencies needed by the faculty of ZPPSU and for providing free training to their personnel. VP Andabon also hoped for continued partnership with RTC KorPhil, Davao. He concluded that this ZPPSU immersion aimed to improve the quality of education that is being delivered to the people of Zamboanga especially at the community level. After which, plaques and certificates were given to the above-mentioned trainers and staff who were involved all throughout the duration of the ZPPSU stay at the Training Center.
Another set of ZPPSU personnel are expected to be trained this August 2022 on the area of hotel and restaurant services.
