As the Philippine Coconut Authority XI launched its Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP), TESDA XI showed support during the Coconut Day Celebration on August 24, 2022 at the PCA Regional Office open ground, Bago Oshiro, Tugbok District, Davao City.
The launching of the CFIDP and celebration of the Coconut Day have gathered various partners in the coconut industry which include DTI, DA-ATI, CDA, PhilHealth, PCIC, CHED, TESDA, DA-PhilMech, and Landbank to bring their services to the coconut farmers, processors and traders.
The activity aimed to inform all the sectors in the coconut industry in the roll-out of the programs and projects under the CFIDP which will benefit the coconut farmers and farmworkers.
Various activities also were undertaken like Trade exhibit of the 14 processors, booth display of the co-implementing agencies, B2B in coordination with DTI and distribution of cacao seedlings, vegetables seeds 8-in-1 pack, coconut seedlings and policy of PCIC insurance coverage.
For TESDA XI, the combined forces of RTC-KorPhil Davao, TESDA-WNAS and TESDA-PTC Davao showcased the programs and services of the Agency such as provision of skill training that could help the coconut farmers.
