TESDA XI RTC-KorPhil Davao and the University of Southeastern Philippines have gained a stronger grip of partnership as they signed a Memorandum of Understanding today, July 11, 2024, that marks a shared commitment to champion complementing programs hoped to impact in Davao Region.
Happening at the Board room of the University, the ceremonial MOU signing was attended by USeP President Dr. Bonifacio G. Gabales Jr., Vice-President for Research, Development and Extension Dr. Roger C. Montepio, Deputy Director for Continuing Education Center Dr. Velouna R. Perez and Director of Resource Management Division Dr. John Mark S. Francisco
For TESDA XI, Regional Director Ashary A. Banto, was represented by Assistant RD Remegias C. Timonio, Ed.D, RTC-KorPhil Davao Center Administrator Engr. Constantino B. Panes Jr. Ed.D and Training Department Head Mr. Mario M. dela Cerna, MTE.
The MOU earmarked areas of collaboration that include Curriculum, Research and Development, Extension Programs, Micro-credentialing and Credit Transfer System. Further, TESDA XI committed to assist USeP in its aim to become TESDA-accredited training and assessment centers in various qualifications and sectors.
RTC-KorPhil Davao also offered programs such as Trainer’s Methodology to upskill or reskill teaching personnel of the University while USeP will share its expertise and resources for provision of training related to organizational strengthening and development.
In his message, ARD Timonio bared excitement to working with USeP saying that “TESDA and CHEd are one in responding to the call of human intervention”. He added that RTC-KorPhil Davao and USeP can “supplement and complement resources” to “do more for the marginalized sector”.
President Gabales Jr., on his part, shared that the University need partners so “we can put altogether our resources” and campaign for programs and projects that will make Davao City a “city of competent workforce for national development”.
