Engr. Ailyn R. Tejero and Mary Grace A. Pelayo, Organic Agriculture Production NC II Trainers from TESDA RTC-KPVTC, Davao, gathered at Villar Sipag Farm School on July 27, 2023, to conduct a Training Induction Program (TIP) for the Organic Agriculture Production NC II Free Training.
The Organic Agriculture Production NC II Free Training which will be held at Villar Sipag Farm School Davao, epitomizes RTC-KPVTC’s dedication to advancing sustainable farming practices in the region. Engr. Ailyn R. Tejero and Mary Grace A. Pelayo, both experienced trainers in organic agriculture, conducted the TIP face-to-face, ensuring a comprehensive discussion on the intricacies of the training program.
During the induction program, participants were formally oriented about OAP NC II, its units of competencies, and learning objectives, providing them with a clear understanding of what to expect throughout the training. The TIP also addressed training logistics, allowing participants to prepare adequately for the training sessions.
As the training progresses, participants will gain hands-on experience and theoretical knowledge in various competencies in organic agriculture which includes core competencies in raising organic chicken, producing organic vegetables, producing organic fertilizers, producing organic concoctions and extracts as well as elective competencies particularly raising organic hogs and raising organic small ruminants.
This comprehensive training equips participants with the necessary skills to become certified organic agriculture practitioners, contributing to a greener and more eco-friendly agricultural landscape in the Davao Region.
