Pushing to have shared practices in pursuit of continuous quality improvement in TVET programs, TESDA Deputy Director General (DDG) for Special Concerns Vidal D. Villanueva III together with his Executive Assistant and officials from National Language Skills Center (NLSC), TESDA Womens’ Center (TWC) and Human Resource Development Center (HRDC) visited RTC-KorPhil Davao to benchmark the 3-Year Diploma of Technology programs and other best practices of the Center.
The delegation arrived on February 23, 2023 (Thursday) around 10 o’clock in the morning and was warmly accommodated by RTC-KorPhil Davao and TESDA XI officials. DDG Villanueva III was accompanied by ODDG Executive Assistant Conrad Joseph D. Villon with Mitzi G. Samson-Endriano and Renan K. Gonzales of NLSC, Mylene H. Somera and Kimberly G. Bautista of TWC, and Joy P. Agustin and Rodelio H. Bation of HRDC.
On his speech, DDG Villanueva lauded RTC-KorPhil Davao for offering a huge number of nine Diploma Programs, which is considered as having the highest number of Diploma programs offered by a TTI in the country. The DDG himself urged NLSC, TWC and HRDC not to experiment with unfamiliar operations but replicate those measures that were already been proven effectively operational like in RTC-KorPhil Davao.
RTC-KorPhil Davao is a three-time recipient of Best TTI in the Philippines Award from 2019-2021 as the Center possesses state-of-the-art facilities, created innovations, multi-faceted documentations, operations and the likes worthy for benchmarking and be emulated by their units and offices.
Acting Regional Director Remegias G. Timonio Ed.D, CEO VI as well as officials from TESDA Provincial Offices across Region XI joined with RTC-KorPhil Davao in welcoming warmly the delegation.
In his message, RTC-KorPhil Davao Center Administrator Constantino B. Panes Jr. Ed.D has made a point that the Center is delighted to share all distinct practices that can be found only in the institution, thus can help other training center to flourish and improve their practices and operations.
