“We partnered with Daikin so we will have a training center that will be up-to-date in as far as technology is concerned on HVAC“, said TESDA Sec. Isidro S. Lapeña during the launching of the TESDA-Daikin HVAC Training Center at RTC-KorPhil Davao on Thursday, 19 May 2022.
The rise of the Mindanao facility established by the TESDA-Daikin partnership is the third of its kind following the first at TESDA Complex in Taguig City inaugurated on December 1, 2021, for Luzon and the second on May 17 this year in RTC-VII in Cebu City for the Visayas.
Sec. Lapeña furthered that the “HVAC training center will be at par with other countries’ state-of-the-art facilities” which will help produce globally competitive workers in the HVAC sector.
The facility will have training areas for commercial air-conditioning, a lecture room, storage room, office area, and conference room, which will help RTC-KorPhil Davao prepare for the offering of the Commercial Air-conditioning Installation and Servicing NC III.
Present during the launch were the President of Daikin Airconditiong Philippines Inc. Takayoshi Miki and the company’s Manager for Product Marketing and Training Department Justine Aaron A. Sy.
Accompanying Sec. Lapeña was Chief of Staff Director Juliet O. Orozco, TESDA XI Regional Director Engr. Lorenzo G. Macapili, Provincial Directors, and RTC KorPhil Davao employees headed by Administrator Engr. Constantino B. Panes Jr. Ed.D.
