The Regional Training Center – Korea-Philippines Vocational Training Center (RTC-KPVTC) Davao, under the stewardship of its Center Administrator, Engr. Constantino B. Panes Jr., Ed.D, successfully conducted its first TTI Advisory Council (TAC) Quarterly Meeting on March 2, 2023, at Kairos Kitchen in Obrero, Davao City
Ms. Lourdes M. Mission, a dynamic TAC member (the Chairperson of the MinTVET Association), presided over the meeting on behalf of Belinda L. Torres, the RTC-KPVTC TAC Chairperson. Also, in attendance were TAC members Andrea Marie S. Dizon, President of MIAP Davao Chapter, Dolores R. Alegarbes, National President of ATU-TUCP, and Rachel Ann Tero, Senior Trade Industry Specialist, who represented Dir. Maria Belinda Q. Ambi, CESO III, Regional Director of DTI XI.
The main point of discussion during the meeting was the review of the latest revision of the Quality Management System (QMS) of RTC-KPVTC Davao. The presentation began with a brief history of the center’s quality journey, which started in 2003, followed by the 2022 revision of Center’s Quality Manual, along with the rest of the procedure’s manual for every process of the Training Center’s QMS. The TAC members approved all the revised procedures of the new QMS manual, along with some suggestions to be rectified by concerned process owners.
Further, the TAC members addressed likewise some concerns about the planned benchmarking activity of RTC-KPVTC Davao in line with new government policies for this kind of activity.
At the final part of the meeting, the TAC evaluated the TAC Workplan 2023 to ensure that the implementation is in accordance with the set timeline.
The successful meeting was a testament to the hard work and dedication of the RTC-KPVTC Davao team for the continuous improvement of the Center anchored to its vision, mission and goals.
