In a momentous event that left no room for doubt about its significance, the Regional Training Center – Korea-Philippines Vocational Training Center (RTC-KPVTC) Davao organized an immersive and empowering pre-deployment orientation for its eager trainees. Held on May 25, 2023, the event brought together a formidable lineup of trainers, industry experts, and distinguished speakers to prepare the trainees for their upcoming Supervised-Industry Learning (SIL) deployment. With a day filled with informative sessions and insightful presentations, the orientation aimed to equip these aspiring professionals with the essential skills and knowledge necessary for a seamless transition into their future work environments.
The day commenced with a special segment dedicated to honoring the presence and importance of distinguished guests and speakers. The Center Administrator, Constantino B. Panes, Jr., Ed.D., took the spotlight, delivering a warm and heartfelt welcome message that resonated with the trainees, instilling a deep sense of belonging and a shared commitment to success.
Under the guidance of the newly appointed SIL coordinator, Joie Vincent R. Dagohoy, TESDS II, the trainees were treated to an immersive overview of the SIL deployment. Every crucial detail, from its significance to the meticulous requirements, was carefully conveyed, ensuring a comprehensive understanding among the eager participants.
The orientation program didn’t stop there. Ian Kristina I. Diao, the esteemed guest speaker from Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Davao, shared indispensable insights into deployment processes, expectations, and guidelines. The trainees hung on to every word, recognizing the invaluable information that would help them navigate the intricate pathways of their chosen fields.
A crucial aspect of any successful professional journey lies in ethical conduct, and this topic was thoughtfully explored by Jestony Mark P. Aprong, Senior TESDS. Recognizing the significance of collaboration and effective communication, Engr. Jeric F. Bilita, TESDS II, took the stage to facilitate a session on effective conflict resolution and teamwork. With the understanding that conflicts may arise in any work environment, this enlightening session equipped the trainees with invaluable skills to foster harmonious relationships and tackle obstacles together.
Upholding the principles of confidentiality and privacy, Mary Grace A. Pelayo, TESDS II, delved into the importance of maintaining trust and safeguarding sensitive information. As the trainees listened attentively, they understood the critical role they would play in upholding professional discretion and protecting organizational integrity.
The trainees’ safety took center stage as Engr. Lougino A. Miguel, TESDS II, conducted a comprehensive session dedicated to workplace safety. From identifying potential hazards to implementing foolproof safety protocols, this session left no stone unturned in promoting a culture of safety and well-being in the trainees’ future work environments.
As the sun set on this transformative event, Gil D. Gonzales, the Supervising TESDS, delivered heartfelt closing remarks.
