With the arrival of the Tulong Trabaho Scholarship Program (TTSP) for the Regional Training Center – Korea-Philippines Vocational Training Center (RTC-KPVTC) Davao, the institution conducted its Training Induction Program (TIP) for two batches of Events Management Services (EMS) NC III under TTSP. The first batch started its training last October 30, 2024, comprising of sixteen (16) scholars under their trainer, Mr. Mikko D. Rosell. The second batch then conducted the TIP on November 4, 2024, with twenty-five (25) scholars expected to train under Mr. Manuel Ceasar R. Beltran, Jr.
Both TIPs were headed by the Scholarship Focal of RTC-KPVTC Davao, Mr. Joie Vincent R. Dagohoy, with the help of the respective trainers. The Training Induction Program consists of topics introducing TESDA as the national government agency in charge of the scholarship and RTC-KPVTC Davao as the implementing TESDA Technology Institution (TTI). The TIP also covered how their scholarship benefits under TTSP, as well as their responsibilities and commitment to maintain said scholarship – especially in line with the use of the attendance-taking module of TESDA, the Biometric-enabled Scholarship Registration System, or also known as BSRS.
Under the Tulong Trabaho Scholarship Program of EMS NC III, the trainees will enjoy free training and national competency assessment, as well as a training support fund amounting to Php 2,240, provided that the trainee is not regularly employed in the public sector.
Both trainings are expected to end on December 2024 and will be immediately followed by the national competency assessment and the Supervised Industry Learning (SIL) or internship deployment to their respective industries.
