A team from TESDA Davao City/Sur Provincial office and experts from Davao Light and Power Company (DLPC) inspected the Linesman Training Center of RTC-KorPhil, Davao City as it vies to become an accredited Assessment Center in Electric Power Distribution Lines Construction (EPDLC) NC II.
The inspection pushed through on June 9, 2022 with Fermin P. Edillon, Head of Reputation Enhancement of DLPC and lead expert Leo S. Claros, who is a former lineman of the same company.
Welcomed by KorPhil Davao Center Administrator Engr. Constantino B. Panes Jr. at the inspection, the team checked the facility composing of power distribution line poles, tools and equipment located in Buhisan, Tibungco, Davao City which is dubbed as the first linesman training center in Mindanao that opened on October 26, 2018.
Aside from the inspection, RTC-KorPhil Davao and DLPC also talked updates of Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for a shared facility on heavy equipment to be used for the opening of EPDLC NCII, Supervised Industry Learning (SIL) or On-the-Job-Training (OJT) deployment of trainees, and possible hiring as TESDA trainers of four former DLPC linesmen.
