In a laudable collaborative effort, the TESDA Regional Training Center-Korea Philippines Vocational Training Center (RTC-KPVTC), Davao, joined forces with the Villar Foundation Farm School in Davao to conduct a profiling of participants for an upcoming training initiative.
The profiling, which took place on February 7, 2024, at the Villar Foundation Farm School, marks the precursor to a specialized training program on COC 2: Produce Organic Vegetables and COC 4: Produce Organic Concoctions and Extracts – both leading to the Organic Agriculture Production (OAP) NC II certification. The main training is scheduled to occur from February 13 to 24, 2024, at the Villar Foundation Farm School.
The collaborative effort is rooted in the mutual interests of TESDA RTC-KorPhil Davao and the Villar Foundation Farm School, to empower communities through TVET training in organic agriculture. The profiling process, conducted yesterday, serves the purpose of participant registration in the TESDA system, setting the stage for a seamless and organized training experience.
The significance of this partnership lies in its ability to offer participants valuable skills in organic agriculture, fostering self-sufficiency and sustainability. TESDA’s commitment to providing free training on COC 2 and COC 4 is complemented by the Villar Foundation Farm School’s generous contribution to a training venue and accommodations, creating a conducive learning environment for all participants.
The training, set to commence on February 13, is designed to be conducted through a blended modality, ensuring flexibility and accessibility for participants.
