The Regional Training Center – Korea-Philippines Vocational Training Center (RTC-KPVTC) Davao recently conducted livelihood trainings for the 2nd Kulturavan held at Brgy. Waan, Davao City last February 24-25, 2023. Ms. Juvilyn Mahilum and Ms. Millicent Concepcion trained a total of 44 trainees in Hot Meals Production and Bread Making, respectively.
This collaborative initiative with TESDA and other government agencies, led by the Task Force Davao, 10th Infantry Agila Division of the Philippine Army, aims to deliver government services to communities, particularly to the 11 indigenous tribes of Davao City. This is the second installment of Kulturavan, following the successful conduct of the same trainings for Brgy. Bankerohan residents last month.
On February 25, while the trainings were ongoing, the deputy mayors of the 11 tribes also conducted a meeting to discuss urgent agendas and concerns of their respective groups. The Center was represented by its Center Administrator, Engr. Constantino B. Panes, Jr., who announced the programs and services that TESDA can offer to the meeting participants.
RTC-KPVTC’s participation in the 2nd Kulturavan is a testament to the institution’s commitment in delivering excellent vocational training programs that promote inclusive economic growth and development. The success of this event has paved the way for the expected participation of RTC-KPVTC in the 3rd part of Kulturavan, where more batches of trainings will be catered to empower more individuals and communities.
