RTC-KorPhil Conducts Training Induction Program for 275 Trainees in 9 Diploma Programs

On September 13, 2024, The Regional Training Center-Korea Philippines Vocational Training Center, Davao conducted the Training Induction Program of the new entrants of the different 3-Year diploma programs of the Center. The program was led by the esteemed Center Administrator, Engr. Constantino B. Panes Jr., Ed.D., who welcomed the trainees and shared valuable insights about the importance of technical-vocational education in today’s fast-evolving industries. In his speech, Engr. Panes emphasized the center’s commitment to providing world-class training and empowering individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in their chosen fields.

Also present at the event was Mr. Mario M. Dela Cerna, Head of the Training Department, who provided an overview of the various programs and training methodologies that the trainees would undergo. He highlighted the center’s state-of-the-art facilities, highly experienced instructors, and strong industry linkages that will prepare the trainees for real-world challenges.

Likewise, TESDA Davao City District Scholarship Office representatives, Ms. Catherine Perez and company discussed thoroughly the ABCs of the 3-Year Diploma UAQTEA scholarship program.

The 275 trainees are set to embark on diploma programs in various disciplines offered by RTC-KorPhil, ranging from Agriculture and Biosystem Engineering Technology to other technical-vocational courses designed to meet the demands of local and international job markets.

As part of the TIP, the new trainees were briefed on the center’s policies, rules, and guidelines, ensuring that they are well-informed about the expectations and standards of RTC-KorPhil. The event also included interactive sessions that fostered camaraderie and a sense of community among the trainees, helping to ease their transition into their training programs.

With the leadership of Engr. Panes and the dedication of the entire RTC-KorPhil team, the center continues to play a vital role in shaping the future of technical-vocational education in the region.
