In a significant display of commitment to fostering peace and security in the region, the Regional Training Center Korea-Philippines Vocational Training Center (RTC-KP VTC) actively participated in the Oplan Kalinaw II Inter-Agency Coordination Meeting held on February 15, 2024. The event took place at the Kapanalig Hall, DCPO Main Building, situated on San Pedro Street, Davao City.
Oplan Kalinaw II, a collaborative initiative among various government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and community stakeholders, aims to address and mitigate security challenges in the region. The inclusion of the RTC-KP VTC in this inter-agency coordination meeting highlights the center’s commitment not only to vocational training but also to contributing to broader societal well-being.
The meeting was organized to bring together key players involved in peace and security efforts, facilitating a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas. Representatives from the Philippine National Police (PNP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), local government units, and various partner organizations joined forces to discuss strategies for enhancing the safety and security of the region
The RTC-KP VTC, recognized for its expertise in vocational training and community development, contributed valuable insights during the meeting. During the meeting, Mr. Nelson Embat, representatives from RTC-KP VTC shared success stories of graduates who, after completing vocational training programs, were able to secure gainful employment, start their businesses, and contribute to their communities.
