Prelude:
In adhering the push of TESDA leadership that SMAC team will coordinate with Media entities to cover and broadcast activities of TESDA, Ms. Alanah Tamarah N. Millan (Managing Editor of RTC-KorPhil Davao’s SMAC team) coordinated with Ms. Jaira Mondez of PTV Davao last June 16, 2022 to cover the incoming Davao City/Sur Provincial Skills Competition 2022 from June 21-27, 2022 at the RTC-KorPhil Davao since almost all of the competitions are being conducted in the Center.
In view of this, on June 20, 2022 PTV broadcasted the said event at around 5 pm. The SMAC team, the RTC KorPhil Davao & TESDA Davao City/Sur Provincial Office are so grateful to PTV Davao and hoping that this will be the beginning of continuous coverage of the upcoming events of TESDA in the whole Davao Region.

The start of practical skills activities started yesterday (June 21, 2022) simultaneously at the Regional Training Center – Korea-Philippines Vocational Training Center (RTC-KPVTC) Davao, Carmelo Delos Cientos Sr. National Trade School (CCNTS), and Philippine Hair and Beauty Life Skills Inc.
15 out of 18 skill/trade areas were up for competition this week, including graphic design, web development, business IT software, carpentry, plumbing, heating, wall and floor tiling, refrigeration, air conditioning, mechatronics, beauty therapy, and hair dressing.
