The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) RTC-KorPhil, Davao, collaborated with Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG Fund) to celebrate the National Women’s Month celebration through the conduct of Livelihood Skills Training on Soap-Making last March 25, 2024 at Pag-IBIG Fund Training Room located at Ground Floor, Espacio de Eugenia Building, corner Mabini and Mapa Sts., Davao City.
This initiative, which arose from the Technical and Administrative Support-Southern and Southwestern Mindanao (TAS-SSWM) identifying various activities that will enable their Pag-IBIG employees to participate in the offered short-term courses of TESDA, requested RTC-KorPhil, Davao for any short-term TVET training, especially in terms of livelihood skills training.
The livelihood skills training on soap-making production, specifically dishwashing liquid making and liquid hand soap making was delivered by RTC-KorPhil trainers, Ms. Mary Grace A. Pelayo and Ms. Lanemie C. Pasaol. Through the support of RTC-KorPhil, Davao Center Administrator, Engr. Constantino B. Panes, Jr., Ed.D., the livelihood skills training for the Pag-IBIG personnel served to deliver TESDA’s dedication to providing quality livelihood skills training to the community and other development partners and agencies such as Pag-IBIG Davao.
This partnership shows the transformative power of government agency collaboration to promote TVET education and sustainable lives in communities. Finally, this empowers women in communities and government institutions to consider additional business options.
Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG Fund) extended its request to TESDA, particularly RTC-KorPhil, Davao, last February 15, 2024, for the conduct of livelihood skills seminar on the 4th week of March 2024 in line with the celebration of National Women’s Month for March.
