On November 20, 2024, The Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC) and its German partner Ms. Mandy Kassel CEO, AWA eV-International, conducted a bench marking activity at the Regional Training Center, Korea-Philippines Vocational Training Center (RTC-KorPhil). The visit was a significant opportunity for both institutions to foster collaboration and enhance training and development within the region.
Through an immersive tour, the HCDC and AWA eV teams observed the range and quality of the training programs offered at RTC-KorPhil. This firsthand experience allowed them to understand the rigorous standards and methodologies employed in technical and vocational education in the center.
The delegation explored the qualifications and certifications available to trainees, gaining valuable information on the curriculum’s structure and alignment with national and international standards. This aspect of the visit provided a foundation for understanding how RTC-KorPhil equips students for the workforce with certifications recognized locally and internationally.
A central part of the visit involved familiarization with the modern facilities and training areas of RTC-KorPhil, including workshops, classrooms, and specialized training areas. This allowed the HCDC and AWA eV teams to appreciate the center’s commitment to creating hands-on, skill-focused learning environments that meet the needs of today’s industries.
This aspect of the visit reflected a commitment to promoting cross-institutional collaboration to raise the standard of education and skills training in Davao and beyond.
The activity highlights RTC-KorPhil’s role in fostering international collaboration and providing valuable training solutions. Through initiatives like this, RTC-KorPhil and TESDA continue to strengthen their commitment to delivering globally competitive skills and enhancing employability for Filipinos.
