RTC-KPVTC, Davao, with the leadership of Engr. Constantino B. Panes, Jr. Ed.D., the Ground-Breaking Ceremony of the 867 sq.m Innovation Center was carried-out on June 15, 2022 at the Regional Training Center- Korea Philippines Vocational Training Center, Davao with the presence of the TESDA Director General, Secretary Isidro S. Lapeña, TESDA XI Regional Director, Engr. Lorenzo G. Macapili; TESDA Davao City/Davao del Sur Provincial Director, Adonis F. Culas; and Engr. Darwin Palencia.
The Innovation Center for TESDA XI RTC-KPVTC, Davao is a two-storey cross-functional facility that creates a safe haven for new ideas. With opportunities for individual and group collaboration across different diplomas, it is described as a place that fosters a culture of innovation through the creation, sharing and testing of ideas
The ground floor includes the lounge, business incubation area, makerspace, prototyping and meeting room while the second-floor plan consists of a multi-purpose hall, display area, computer research and learning activity and the roof deck which includes an open space and quarters area.
In the interest of public service and implementation of TESDA services in the region, Sec. Isidro S. Lapeña also called for an employees’ meeting with the RTC-KPVTC, Davao personnel.
In his talk, he commended the achievements of the Regional Training Center and lauded the employees’ shared efforts in attaining these achievements. Among the most prominent achievements of TESDA as a whole is being acknowledged as one of the best performing and most trusted government agencies in the country, second to the Armed Forces of the Philippines which garnered the top spot.
