The TESDA XI Regional Training Center-Korea Philippines Vocational Training Center (RTC-KPVTC) successfully conducted a benchmarking activity at Colegio de OSTACI, Inc. The benchmarking activity was a key component of the 2024 Green TVET Action Plan, which aims to “green” the workplace and surrounding communities by raising awareness about environmental issues and implementing eco-friendly practices. The goal was to expose the RTC-KPVTC, Davao team to successful green technologies and landscaping practices at Colegio de OSTACI, Inc., helping them enhance their training programs for underserved communities.

Three personnel from RTC-KPVTC, Davao, specifically members of the Innovation, Research, and Green TVET Team, participated in the activity, namely, Engr. Ailyn R. Tejero, Engr. John Rome L. The benchmarking activity has been an invaluable experience for the Green TVET team, and they are excited to incorporate the knowledge gained at the school into their training programs, especially in promoting sustainable landscaping practices.

This benchmarking activity is part of TESDA’s broader effort to integrate green skills into vocational education, empowering communities with the tools to embrace sustainable practices in their workplaces and everyday lives.
