Green TVET Clean-Up Drive Launched in RTC-KorPhil, Davao

As an immediate action in response to TESDA KorPhil Davao Advisory No. 354A s. 2024 concerning the forthcoming Green TVET Activity, the Training Center initiated a cleanup endeavor on April 26, 2024, at 3 PM.

This endeavor was initiated in advance of TESDA Deputy Director General Vidal’s benchmarking visit on April 29, 2024. Every member of the staff and trainees was directed to assist in the sanitation and cleaning of their designated areas and immediate vicinity, or those in close proximity to them, by following the proper waste management procedures and placing accumulated trash in specified bins.

The cleanup initiative demonstrates TESDA KorPhil Davao’s dedication to environmental care and sustainability. By maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the Training Center’s surroundings, the institution hopes to set a good example for its employees and trainees while also contributing to the larger goal of promoting environmentally friendly practices in the Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector.

The Green TVET Activity, which sparked this urgent cleanup operation, is TESDA KorPhil Davao’s concerted commitment to include environmental awareness and conservation concepts throughout its training programs. Through activities such as clean-up drives and environmental education initiatives, RTC-KorPhil aims to instill in its stakeholders a sense of environmental responsibility while also providing them with the knowledge and skills required to support sustainable development in their communities.
