Drug Prevention Week is a crucial initiative aimed at raising awareness about the dangers of substance abuse and promoting a drug-free environment. At the Regional Training Center Korea Philippines Vocational Training Center (RTC-KPVTC), Davao, this significant campaign took on a special significance as it involved collaboration with key figures such as Ms. Maribel B. Tero, the OIC-Center Administrator of RTC-KPVTC, Davao, Mr. Jestony Mark P. Aprong, Scholarship Focal, and Ms. Angelli C. Emborgo, the Center Nurse, in partnership with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region XI.
With a strong commitment to creating a drug-free environment for diploma of technology trainees, the Regional Training Center Korea Philippines Vocational Training Center (RTC-KPVTC), Davao in partnership with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region XI conducted an Anti-Drug Abuse Awareness and Prevention Seminar on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at RTC-KPVTC, Davao Multipurpose Hall.
The event opened with an opening message by Ms. Maribel B. Tero, Sr. TESD Specialist and OIC-Center Administrator. Ms. Angelli C. Emborgo, TESD Specialist II and Ms. Almira C. Landagan, Intelligence Officer II, played pivotal roles in organizing and executing the seminar. The expertise of Ms. Landagan provided a unique perspective on the importance of preventing substance abuse and its impact on the community.
The collaboration between RTC-KPVTC, Davao and PDEA Region XI underscored the commitment of both entities to work together in addressing the challenges posed by drug abuse. By joining forces, they were able to implement a comprehensive seminar that not only focused on prevention but also on educating individuals, specifically diploma trainees, about the consequences of drug abuse.
