Maxmedia Enterprises through its Operations Manager, Max Ginez, III, organized four (4) top resource persons in Davao Region to educate students in Diploma in Information Technology (DIT) about the trending technologies in Finance & Marketing through IT that DIT students should know direct from the actual practitioners and experts in the fields of Web 3, Blockchain and Non-fungible tokens (NFT).
Maxmedia Enterprises contacted Mr. Mario Dela Cerna, the DIT Dept. Head to talk and offer his proposal of free seminar with free snacks and lunch for said trending technologies in IT. It was agreed then that said conference dubbed as “Fintech Summit 2024” will be conducted on September 27, 2024 at the mini-Theater of RTC-KorPhil Davao from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. All DIT students will be attending the said summit including interested DIT alumni and non-DIT individual who want to know about the abovesaid technologies. It was also agreed that DIT students will prepare the theater; sound system, lighting system, video documentation & Same Day Edit (SDE video), live streaming and hosting the program likewise contact the food firm to prepare the snacks and lunch since Mr. Max Ginez, III experienced the reliability of the DIT students in implementing said competences in two (2) Mindanao Trade Expos in year 2023 and 2024 where he hired selected DIT students for said technical tasks.
In the event, Mr. Ferdie James Nervida, a TEDx speaker discussed about Web 3, Blockchain and Cybersecurity including the history of trading and crypto currencies and its highs and lows while Mr. Rod Albores, founder and CEO of RER DAO and co-founder of NFT Davao talked about Crypto Currencies used in web3 and blockchain for Non-fungible tokens (NFT) and Churchill Brizuela (BIM Specialist), the founder of NFT Davao elaborated the actual practices in doing business in digital arts through NFT and explained what is Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes and technologies that extended the 3D modelling skills in modern construction and manufacturing fields.
On the other hand, Mr. Joseph Lejarde the whiz kid trader (CTA/CTP/CSS), enlightened his co-young digital fellows on web 1, web 2 and web 3 differences and why web 3 (an emerging web technology) is used in blockchain and NFT. He also informed DIT students on the in-demand digital and web careers to pursue.
In the afternoon, Mr. Max Ginez, III joined the speakers for panel discussion and open forum with Jessa Niebla (incoming president of Body of IT Student organization) as the moderator. Deepen discussion of the topics shared by the speakers amazed the DIT students including the information about the great recessions experienced by Asian nations and the US that should serve as lessons to learn by not only by the digital traders but government officials to be ready next year as another recession is looming after the US and Philippine elections as predicted by the financial gurus’, reason why many DIT students thrown questions to the panel about what they perceived and visions.
