The Special Training for Employment Program (STEP) is a community-based specialty training program that focuses on meeting the community’s specific skill needs and promoting employment, notably through entrepreneurship, self-employment, and service-oriented activities. The training programs given are mostly short-term or modules based on TESDA’s Training Regulations. With this, 25 scholars from Brgy. 12-B Poblacion benefited this qualification. Mr. Jo-jo A. Datulayta, a TESDA trainer handled the Dressmaking NC II training.
The 25 recipients, the most of whom were women, were grateful and pleased for TESDA’s continued assistance. They are expected to use the starter kits they were given to make money and generate livelihood options, with a focus on poverty reduction.
Twenty-five (25) scholars enrolled in Dressmaking NC II got starter toolkits on February 15, 2022, Brgy. 12-B Poblacion, Davao City under the Special Training for Employment Program, (STEP).
