Davao Light and Power Company is taking its commitment to excellence in training and development to new heights. Recently, a delegation from Davao Light, led by Mr. Fermin Edillon, Head of the Renewable Energy Division (RED), embarked on a site visit to the Regional Training Center – Korea-Philippines Vocational Training Center (RTC-KorPhil) Davao for Electric Power Distribution Line Construction NC II.
The visit aimed to provide Davao Light’s linemen with world-class training opportunities and further enhance their skills and competencies.
Situated in the Davao Region, RTC-KorPhil Davao is renowned for its state-of-the-art facilities and comprehensive training programs. With a steadfast commitment to empowering linemen and contributing to the expansion of the power utility sector, the center plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of the industry.
During the site visit, Davao Light’s representatives had the privilege of firsthand experience with the cutting-edge training methodologies and facilities offered by the Training Center. The delegation was warmly received by Mario M. Dela Cerna, Training Department Head, Maribel B. Tero, DCET Head Trainer, and the Center’s staff, who generously shared their expertise and insights on linemen training. Engaging and interactive sessions, including demonstrations of training modules, hands-on exercises, and discussions on best practices, provided invaluable knowledge and inspiration to Davao Light’s team.
