DA-ATI recognizes RTC-KorPhil Davao RCEF accomplishments

The Department of Agriculture- Agricultural Training Institute XI awarded plaque of appreciation to the Regional Training Center-Korea Philippines Vocational Training Center Davao during the RCEF-RESP Program Assessment and Planning Workshop for CY 2025-2030 at Brgy. Datu Abdul Dadia, Panabo City, Davao del Norte on November 27-29, 2024.

RCEF trainer Engr. John Rome l. Balbanida represented the Training Center in receiving the award which recognizes the unwavering commitment and leadership of RTC-KorPhil Davao, as a registered farm school of DA-ATI XI, in the successful implementation of the Farmer’s Field School under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund-Rice Extension Services Program (RCEF-RESP) from CY 2019-2024.

Engr. Balbanida presented the accomplishment of the Center highlighting the 505 beneficiaries in Rice Machineries Operations NC II, 100 in Service Motorcycle/Small Engine leading to Motorcycle/Small Engine Servicing NC II, 100 in FFS in Production of High Quality Inbred Rice, Seed Certification and Farm Mechanization and, 97 in Post-harvest Technologies: Milling and Drying.

Other implementers have also presented their accomplishments such as the DA-PhilMech, DA-Philrice Agusan, Bureau of Plant Industry – National Seed Quality Control Services (BPI-NSQCS), TESDA Davao National Agricultural School (DNAS), and other Technical Vocational Institutions who are also accredited Farm Schools of the DA-ATI.

The event also involved planning and agreements on the ways forward of the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund which will soon renew with a bigger budget that still includes RESP through provision of skills training to the Filipino farmers.
