On November 28, 2024, the Regional Training Center-Korea Philippines Vocational Training Center (RTC-KPVTC) in Buhisan, Davao City hosted its much-anticipated 2024 Industry Forum. This dynamic event brought together representatives from 48 industries, solidifying the Regional Training Center’s commitment to fostering partnerships and aligning its training programs with the needs of the workforce.
The forum, a cornerstone in RTC-KPVTC, Davao’s annual calendar, featured a range of activities, including discussions, workshops, the pivotal review of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Training Center and its industry partners, center tours, and the signing of the 2024 Industry Partners commitment wall.
Industry leaders from various fields and RTC-KPVTC trainers collaborated in workshops that focused on emerging trends and other vocational disciplines. These sessions highlighted best practices, innovative technologies, and strategies to meet evolving industry demands.
The review of Memorandums of Agreements for future signing was designed not only for the Trainees Supervised Industry Learning (SIL) but also for the future RTC-KPVTC, Davao Trainers Immersion. This is a key milestone in the forum, symbolizing the mutual commitment between the Training Center and its industry partners
These agreements aim to enhance the center’s curricula, expand on-the-job training opportunities for students and trainers, and ensure the alignment of skills training with market requirements.
The success of the 2024 Industry Forum underscores the Training Center’s role as a bridge between TVET education and industry. With 48 industries onboard, the center is poised to produce job-ready graduates who can thrive in competitive sectors as well as for future trainers immersion that would ensure that trainers are updated with industry standards.
