The Regional Training Center – Korea-Philippines Vocational Training Center (RTC-KPVTC) in Davao marked the official launching of the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) 2024 on November 25, 2025. This annual campaign underscores the urgent need to address and end violence against women in all its forms. Trainees of the center gathered to show solidarity for the cause, echoing the campaign’s theme, “VAW Bigyang Wakas, Ngayon na ang Oras”.
The event featured PSSG Lovely Carl C. Salvaña as the esteemed guest speaker. PSSG Salvaña delivered an enlightening talk that explored critical topics, including the ongoing battle to end violence against women, the significance of Republic Act No. 11648 (strengthening child protection against sexual exploitation and abuse), and Republic Act No. 7877 (the Anti-Sexual Harassment Act of 1995). Her presentation emphasized the importance of raising awareness and taking action to foster safer and more equitable spaces for women and children.
The trainees actively participated in the campaign launch, reflecting their commitment to championing women’s rights and promoting a culture of respect and equality. The event served as both a learning opportunity and a rallying call, reminding everyone that ending violence against women requires collective effort and immediate action.
With initiatives like this, RTC-KPVTC Davao continues to empower its trainees to become advocates for change, reinforcing the message that the time to act against violence is now. The campaign’s launch sets the tone for the next 18 days of advocacy, education, and community engagement to create a safer and more just society for all.
