Green TVET Team Successfully Concludes 2024 6S Competition for 2nd Semester

TESDA XI Regional Training Center-Korea Philippines Vocational Training Center (RTC-KPVTC), Davao, through the Innovation, Research, and Green TVET Team, successfully hosted its 6S Competition last Friday, November 22, 2024 for the 2nd Semester of 2024 at the Training Center.

The 6S Competition began with an opening meeting at 9:00 AM in the APACC Room, where judges reviewed the competition mechanics and set the stage for the evaluations. The judges for the 2024 6S Competition for the 2nd Semester were Ms. Gladies G. Bactong, Engr. John Rome L. Balbanida, Mr. Jimson D. Usayan, Ms. Melissa U. Caballero, Ms. Jessica A. Saplad, and Ms. Michelle B. Verbal.

The event saw active participation of RTC personnel and trainees across two main categories, namely, Administrative Offices/Dormitory and Trade Areas/Facilities.

The annual competition underscores RTC’s commitment to promoting greening initiatives and creating a culture of cleanliness, organization, and discipline among the Training Center’s trainees and personnel.

Moreover, this activity follows the 6S methodology, which is Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety, which served as a reminder of the importance of keeping workspaces tidy and functional to develop an atmosphere that supports learning and development.

This is part of RTC-KPVTC, Davao’s broader efforts to instill habits of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency in the Training Center which directly contributes to the trainees’ future professional successes and personnel discipline.

By promoting these values, the Training Center continues to align with its goal of enhancing the quality of TVET and promoting sustainable initiatives. As such, this event is a reflection of our commitment to excellence to create an environment that embodies discipline, professionalism and sustainability through greening initiatives particularly greening the campus and greening institutional culture.
