The RTC-KorPhil Davao Student Council recently convened for their monthly meeting at the RTC-KorPhil Library on July 13, 2023. The meeting served as a platform for student representatives to address important matters and plan upcoming initiatives that would enhance student life within the Training Center.
The meeting agenda encompassed three significant topics of discussion. Firstly, the preparation for the highly anticipated 2023 Annual Korea Festival “Games” took center stage. The Student Council members engaged in a collaborative session to organize the festival, aiming to celebrate and promote Korean culture within the campus and the wider community. The council members brainstormed ideas and devised strategies to ensure the event’s success, fostering an atmosphere of excitement and cultural exchange.
Additionally, the meeting included preparations for the upcoming election process to determine key positions within the Student Council for the succeeding year. This democratic exercise aimed to select individuals who would lead and represent the student body effectively. Furthermore, the Student Council brainstormed crucial projects centered around the partnership of Green TVET Team and Maintenance Team of RTC-KorPhil specifically on rain water reservoir and gradual banning of single use plastics at the training center. Recognizing the importance of environmental sustainability and responsible practices, the council members explored initiatives to incorporate green principles into their projects and activities. The collaboration aimed to enhance awareness about eco-friendly practices and encourage a culture of sustainability within the student community.
The monthly meeting provided a valuable platform for student leaders to exchange ideas, voice concerns, and collectively work towards the betterment of RTC-KorPhil and its student body. The engagement and active participation displayed by the Student Council members reflected their commitment to promoting a vibrant and inclusive campus environment.
