Last Friday, January 27, 2023, a total of 71 trainees from three different qualifications received their starter toolkits under the Special Training for Employment Program (STEP) of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) at the RTC-KPVTC Davao Mini-Theater.
The trainees of the Regional Training Center – Korea-Philippines Vocational Training Center Davao, who received the toolkits, were enrolled in the following courses: Cake Making leading to Bread and Pastry Production NC II, Plaster Concrete leading to Masonry NC II, and Tile Setting NC II, while others were enrolled only in COCs (Certificate of Competency or Unit of Competency of the full qualification).
The awarding ceremony was graced by Congressman Vincent Garcia and was joined by Ms. Marilou F. Coloma, the Training Department Head and Head Trainer of the Diploma in Hotel and Restaurant Technology of RTC-KPVTC Davao.
The starter toolkits, provided by TESDA, will assist the trainees in pursuing their chosen careers and in achieving their goals. The toolkits are essential in helping the trainees to perform their work effectively and efficiently.
